The New York Jets head into Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft after an aggressive first two days that saw them add talent on both sides of the ball and make multiple moves up and down the board. Darren Mougey opened the draft by selecting David Bailey with the No. 2 overall pick, adding a pass rusher to the defense. Later in the first round, they selected Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16 overall before trading back into Round 1 for Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30.
I will be watching the draft from Atlantic City on Saturday. If you are so inclined, you can check out some online casinos while you wait for Day 3 to begin. On Day 2, the Jets added another defensive piece by drafting D’Angelo Ponds, continuing a draft class that has already addressed several needs.
Now the focus shifts to Day 3, where the Jets still have five selections remaining and flexibility to continue building depth across the roster.
Jets Remaining 2026 NFL Draft Picks
- Round 4, Pick 103
- Round 4, Pick 140
- Round 5, Pick 179
- Round 7, Pick 228
- Round 7, Pick 242
Day 3 often produces valuable depth players, special teams contributors, and developmental prospects, so there is still plenty of opportunity for the Jets to improve the roster before the weekend is over. It is a strange mix with no 3rd rounder and no 6th rounder. The good news is Darren Mougey seems to understand the value of draft capital, unlike the GMs before him.
