With strike looming, Fenway concession workers have Red Sox players’ support

Boston Red Sox

As the employees who sell concessions to the fans in the stands prepare to potentially strike for the first time in Fenway Park history, the players on the field voiced support for their cause. UNITE HERE Local 26, the union that represents the group of beer sellers, cashiers, cooks, servers, souvenir vendors, utility workers, warehouse runners and other employees, has been working without a contract since the old one expired on Dec. 31, 2024. On June 15, the hundreds of employees voted whether to authorize a strike and 95 percent voted in favor. Many have begun signing up for strike benefits for a strike that could come at any time.
