The Philadelphia Phillies transferred starting pitcher Aaron Nola to the 60-day injured list on Thursday, the team announced. Nola, 32, made nine starts before being placed on the 15-day injured list with a right ankle sprain on May 16. The Baton Rouge, La., native surpassed Curt Schilling for the ninth-most innings pitched by a Phillie in his start on May 3 and is 13 strikeouts shy of tying Cole Hamels for the third-most strikeouts in franchise history. Nola was originally selected by the Phillies in the first round (7th overall) of the 2014 MLB Draft.
