The Dallas Cowboys had a couple of extra days to lick their wounds, and the New York Giants will have very little time to regroup after a lackluster first effort. The schedule makers decided that the NFC division which took up both seats in the conference championship game last season needed to have some early face-to-face matchups to start 2025. After the Cowboys opened the season in Philadelphia, losing to the Super Bowl champion Eagles 24-20, the league sent the Giants into Landover, MD where they’d fall 21-6 to the Washington Commanders. Now, the two winless NFC East teams will square off in Week 2 as the Cowboys host their home opener in Dallas.
