If Patrick Beverley is able to make his way back into the NBA soon, he might find he has a new enemy.
There is a war of words brewing between Beverley and Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young.
The two have been going back and forth on social media, and Young stoked the fire in a big way on Wednesday.
He posted a video attacking Beverley and hit him hard.
“I win play-in games on the road and I’m ready to get to the playoffs. You win play-in games at home and you standing on the scores table acting like it’s a championship,” Young said. “I know you were labeled as a tough defender, a great defender, and the accolades say that you were. But I promise you, anytime you was on the court with me, I was never scared of you. I was never scared of Patty Bev.”
Trae Young went off on Pat Bev, asking how he played with stars like LeBron, Giannis, Ant, Kawhi, and Harden, yet only made one Conference Finals

This definitely will not be the last of this conflict.
Beverley is surely going to hit back soon, and the intensity might only grow.
He previously said that Young needs to find more success before he talks to him, because he was a permanent fixture of the playoffs.
But Young took issue with that and pointed out that he’s found more success in the postseason than Beverley.
This is one of the many rivalries throughout the NBA, but it may soon become the largest.
Both Beverley and Young are outspoken men who aren’t afraid of a challenge or pushing back against their opponents.
It’ll be interesting to see if Beverley returns to the league soon.
There have been reports of him attempting to find a contract after some time away playing overseas.
If that happens, he’ll have a tough night whenever he plays against Young and the Hawks.
