Malcolm Brogdon is moving on to his latest team, and he hopes his next season is more memorable than the last.

Brogdon will play for the New York Knicks in 2025-26 and has decided to wear No. 5 for the team, according to Etienne Catalan.

That number was last used by Precious Achiuwa in 2025.

This will be Brogdon’s tenth year in the league, and he’s ready for a change.

Just a few seasons ago, he was voted Sixth Man of the Year and was a huge part of the Boston Celtics.

That followed years of being with the Milwaukee Bucks and then the Indiana Pacers.

But then Brogdon was sent to the Portland Trail Blazers and started to suffer from injuries.

Then he was off to the Washington Wizards, but only played in 24 games last season, averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on 43.3 percent from the field.

Now that he’s heading to New York, Brogdon wants to do more for his team.

He obviously has to stay healthy, which is partly out of his control, but the coaching staff also needs to invest and believe in him.

He has shown that he can be a crucial part of the second unit, and that is likely what he will aim for with the Knicks.

This could be a big season for the Knicks and a monumental one for Brodgon as well.

He’s been bouncing around the league a lot, but Brogdon would love to settle down in one location.

So, perhaps he can finally slow down and remain with the Knicks for the rest of his career.
