Jared Curtis is back. And Nashville Christian football is still undefeated.

Curtis, the No. 1 quarterback in the country for the Class of 2026 and No. 4 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite, returned to the field for the first time since Week 3 to lead the Eagles to a 53-0 rout of Franklin Christian Academy, which is competing in its first year as a TSSAA member school.

Curtis missed two-and-a half football games with a lower leg injury after being injured around halftime against Donelson Christian in Week 3. He missed the entire games against Clarksville Academy and Mt. Juliet Christian.

Curtis’ season includes a 42-41 overtime win over DII-AAA power Ensworth. Nashville Christian, the defending DII-A state champions, is the top-ranked team in the classification per the TSWA / USA TODAY Network statewide poll.

Curtis didn’t run the football for the Eagles (6-0) against FCA (3-3). But he was 10-of-19 passing for 178 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Curtis had a pair of TDs to Zane Crampton, who had four catches for 85 yards. Teammate Bryson Holt had three catches for 50 yards.

TCU commit TJ Ward had eight carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

Curtis is 52-of-79 passing for the season for 693 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in three-and-a half games played. He also has 28 carries for 193 yards and three touchdowns.
