The NFL trade deadline (Nov. 4) is three weeks away, and the 4-2 Denver Broncos might consider targeting a few players that could help them push for a playoff spot this season.
Denver’s defense is in good shape, but the Broncoslack depth at guard after losing Ben Powers to a biceps injury, and the team could use another play-making wide receiver to pair with Courtland Sutton on offense.
Last week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter published a list of NFL players who could be on the block leading up to the trade deadline, with three guards and six wide receivers included. These players could be of note to Denver.
Adam Schefter’s NFL trade candidates
- Titans G Kevin Zeitler
- Browns G Wyatt Teller
- Browns G Joel Bitonio
- Saints WR Chris Olave
- Siants WR Rashid Shaheed
- Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers
- Jets WR Allen Lazard
- Titans WR Tyler Lockett
- Saints WR Brandin Cooks
Of those six wide receivers, Olave has the most upside. Any of the three listed guards would be an upgrade to the in-house options the Broncos have to replace Powers. We’ll be keeping an eye on all the trade buzz leading up to next month’s deadline.
