Weather forecast, impact for Michigan State-Indiana game on Saturday

Washington Wizards

Michigan State football heads to Indiana on Saturday afternoon for what should be a beautiful day for football.

The Spartans have been struggling as of late, with losses in each of their first three Big Ten games this season. Last week’s embarrassing loss at home to UCLA dropped them to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in Big Ten play.

Indiana, on the other hand, has been rolling and is off to a 6-0 start and a top five ranking. The Hoosiers are coming into this game off an impressive road win over Oregon in a top 10 battle last week.

So will the weather impact this week’s matchup between Michigan State and Indiana? Let’s take a look at the official weather forecast for Saturday in Bloomington, Ind. and how it could possibly impact this matchup.

Gameday Weather Forecast

Michigan State football will head back on the road this week, but the weather shouldn’t be an issue for the traveling Spartans.. According to Weather.com, here are the highlights and key details for Saturday’s weather forecast in Bloomington:

  • High temperature for Saturday is 80 degrees, with a low of 56 degrees in the evening
  • It’ll be mostly cloudy during the game, with a chance of an isolated shower shortly after kickoff
  • There is roughly a 25% chance of rain during the game on Saturday, with expectations of a storm hitting Bloomington in the evening by the time the game should be wrapped up
  • There will be wind gusts of nearly 10 miles per hour

Impact on Game

If it ends up raining during the game, that certainly can impact the outcome with an expectation of reduced scoring for both teams being the result. But the forecast is projecting the nasty weather to not hit until after the game hits so if that remains the case, this should be a game that has low weather impact on Saturday afternoon.
