The Texas Rangers metaphorical bullpen dam — overworked and overexposed after four straight games that sailed past regulation — finally broke. “They probably needed a day and it showed,” Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said, “because they have been doing such a great job.” The bullpen has, to Bochy’s point, been stable.
