Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, right-back for Paris Saint-Germain, wanted to reassure both PSG and national team supporters after the serious injury he suffered against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

In a message posted on his Instagram and X accounts, Hakimi vowed to come back stronger: “Falls are part of the journey, the comeback makes the difference. Thank you all for your messages.”

With these words, the former Real Madrid player delivered a message of composure to his fans, underlining his determination to recover quickly.

Achraf Hakimi sidelined for several weeks!

The player was injured in the final seconds of the first half, specifically in the first minute of stoppage time, following a brutal tackle from Colombian Luis Díaz.

Initially, the referee only produced a yellow card, but after a VAR review, Díaz was shown a straight red and sent off.

PSG announced in an official statement that Hakimi will be out for several weeks, which means he will most likely miss the group stage matches of the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to start on December 21, 2025, in Morocco.
