Ronnie Hickman secures the first Browns turnover of Week 10

New York Yankees

It didn’t take long for the Browns’ defense to capitalize on a Justin Fields mistake in Week 10. This time, it was Cleveland safety Ronnie Hickman who secured the team’s first turnover of the day on the Jets’ 37-yard line. The pass from New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields was intended for wide receiver Garrett Wilson across the middle. Instead, it was intercepted by Hickman and returned to the Jets’ 22-yard line, where the Browns eventually capitalized with a touchdown.

The interception was Hickman’s second of the 2025 season and the third of his three-year NFL career. His other turnover of the season came against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, when he intercepted opposing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Despite giving up 14 points, the Browns’ defense has been sharp so far against the Jets.

The team is on pace to hold all of New York’s offensive playmakers well under their weekly averages and will need to continue doing so if they want to secure a Week 10 win. Capitalizing on mistakes has been a theme early in this matchup, and the Browns cannot afford to find themselves on the losing end of that key stat.
