One of the key pieces–if not the key piece–of the Matt Chapman deal with the Toronto Blue Jays is reportedly set to miss the remainder of the 2025 season after undergoing hip surgery on Friday, June 13. The surgery has been reported by his agent Nate Heisler of KLUTCH Sports. Hoglund made his MLB debut on May 2 in Miami against the Marlins and ended up making six starts during the month, totaling 32 1/3 innings of work with a 6.40 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP.
