Former Phillies reliever Jeff Hoffman returned to Citizens Bank Park Friday night with the Toronto Blue Jays, the team that drafted him with the ninth overall pick in 2014. The righthander never played for the Blue Jays, coming off of Tommy John surgery in college and getting traded to the Colorado Rockies in 2016. Four years after that, he was dealt to the Cincinnati Reds where, in 2022, he posted a 2-0 record and 3.83 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings.
