Braxton Fulford drives in five as Rockies smash Braves

Atlanta Braves

Braxton Fulford drove in a career-best five runs and Austin Gomber threw five scoreless innings in his season debut to propel the visiting Colorado Rockies to a rare 10-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. Gomber, who was activated from the 60-day injured list prior to the series finale, allowed just two hits while striking out four and walking one. Jake Bird (2-1) allowed the game-tying run in the sixth inning but earned the win after the Rockies plated six runs in the seventh. Ryan McMahon homered and Jordan Beck drove in two for Colorado, which posted just its 14th win of the season and improved to 7-30 on the road.
