Shane Baz helps Rays complete sweep of Mets

June 15 – Shane Baz pitched 6 2/3 effective innings and Jonathan Aranda hit a two-run double in the fifth inning after scoring the first run in a three-run second inning as the visiting Tampa Bay Rays continued their surge with a 9-0 victory over the New York Mets on Sunday afternoon. Baz (6-3) held the Mets to three hits during his second-longest start of the season and New York’s top four hitters of Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, Juan Soto and Pete Alonso were a combined 1-of-9 against him.
