The New York Yankees’ starting pitching has been a hot topic all season, but it’s up for debate whether or not they need to add reinforcements. Ace Max Fried and number-two starter Carlos Rodón aren’t going anywhere, and Clarke Schmidt is quickly solidifying himself in the number-three role after another gem on Monday night. There’s also the potential return of 2024 Rookie of the Year of Luis Gil to keep in mind. Certainly, no one would fault the Yankees for going after another rotation option at the deadline.
