The Seattle Mariners announced Tuesday afternoon that they have claimed outfielder Jacob Hurtubise off waivers. Hurtubise was designated for assignment by the Reds a few days ago and will immediately go to Triple-A Tacoma since the Mariners have a full big league roster. This is a reunion for both the Mariners and Hurtubise, as Seattle originally drafted the 27-year-old back in 2019 in the 30th round.
