Former Detroit Tigers outfielder Anthony Gose, now a journeyman left-handed pitcher, has signed a minor-league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gose had been in the New York Mets organization and was either released or exercised an opt-out clause in recent days. A second-round draft pick in 2008, Gose was once a promising outfield prospect before reinventing himself as a pitcher. The Tigers acquired Gose from the Toronto Blue Jays after the 2014 season, and he spent all of 2015 as the club’s primary center fielder.
