The Mets dropped their sixth game in a row on Thursday after losing, 7-1, to the Braves. The sweep in Atlanta comes off the heels of dropping a three-game series at home against the Tampa Bay Rays. “It starts on the mound,” Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said, via SNY. “The starting pitching, they’ve been so good the whole year pretty much carrying us to this point, you lose guys who have been consistently throwing the ball well and get some bad outings — it happens, we’re going through a rough stretch right now.”
