Matt Waldron did not make it out of the third inning. Alek Jacob did not record an out in the ninth inning.

Triple-A El Paso pitchers combined for 21 hits allowed and nine walks in a 17-4 loss to visiting Reno on Friday.
Waldron (3-2, 5.24 ER) had won three straight starts, but he struck out two and allowed five runs on seven hits in 2⅔ innings in loss.
Jacob (13.50 ERA) allowed five runs on four hits and a walk without recording an out in the ninth.
Center fielder Clay Dungan (.801 OPS) drove in three runs on his sixth and seventh homers.
Shortstop Mike McCoy (.936 OPS) hit his fifth homer.
Jason Heyward has not played in either of the last two games. Heyward, 35, is rehabbing an oblique injury and is 2-for-21 in five games on this rehab assignment.
El Paso is 38-35.
Injury updates
Right-hander Bradgley Rodriguez is progressing through a throwing program with Triple-A El Paso and right-hander Victor Lizarraga threw a bullpen on Friday at Double-A San Antonio.
Both pitchers could return to the mound next week.
Rodriguez, 21, has not pitched since exiting a June 8 game with what was termed a biceps issue by the organization. Rodriguez had allowed two runs in 1 ⅔ innings with El Paso after making his MLB debut earlier this year as a reliever
Lizarraga, 21, exited a June 13 start after 1⅓ innings with an undisclosed injury. He has a 6.65 ERA in 43 ⅓ innings so far this season.
Lizarraga is ranked No. 13 in the system by MLB.com and Rodriguez is ranked No. 14.

LHP Harry Gustin (2.18 ERA) threw two shutout innings and RHP Garrett Hawkins (2.22 ERA) saved his third game with a scoreless ninth. 3B Rosman Verdugo (.823 OPS) hit his 10th homer, 1B Ethan Long (.630 OPS) hit his fifth homer and CF Kai Roberts (.591 OPS) hit his first homer. DH Leo De Vries (.718 OPS) went 0-for-3 with a strikeout. He was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning.

RHP Luis De Leon (.782 OPS), DH Kale Fountain (.885 OPS), SS Jose Sanabria (.844 OPS) and LF Emil Turbi (.610 OPS) all had two hits. Turbi tripled and Sanabria doubled.
