Prior to being placed on the 60-day injured list with a right quadriceps strain, Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman was putting together a strong case for an All-Star selection. Bregman’s leadership, Gold Glove caliber defense, and right-handed swing have all looked like a perfect fit for Fenway Park and inside the home clubhouse. With recent hints from manager Alex Cora that his IL stint could come to an end sooner than previously expected, the team will certainly be more dangerous when his bat returns to the Red Sox starting lineup.
