Braves fans are going to have a rooting interest in this year’s home run derby. Atlanta’s star outfielder Ronald Acuaña Jr. is the first to announce he’ll be participating. Despite missing 49 games this season, Acuña has hit nine home runs in just over a month, and he’s on pace to hit over 25. This will be Acuña’s third appearance in the home run derby — in both 2019 and 2022 he was knocked out by the Mets’ Pete Alonso.
