DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have dropped one veteran left-handed pitcher to make room for another. Matt Gage, who threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in his brief stint with Detroit, was designated for assignment on Thursday to create a roster spot for Dietrich Enns, who was selected from Triple-A Toledo to start Thursday’s game .
