Brandon Lockridge is regaining his timing at Triple-A El Paso.
The 28-year-old outfielder hit his first homer of the season Thursday in the Chihuahuas’ 7-4 win at Albuquerque.
Lockridge hit .216/.258/.261 in 47 games to start the year in the majors.
He was optioned to the minors late last month, exited the first game back after he was hit by a pitch and then went on paternity leave.
Lockridge returned on Tuesday and is hitting .307/.471/.692 through four games with El Paso.
First baseman Nate Mondou (.760 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits and catcher Luis Campusano (1.047 OPS) went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored.
Right-hander Sean Reynolds (2.45 ERA) saved his first game with two strikeouts in the ninth inning.
El Paso is 44-40.
