Dave Parker Dies At Age 74 By Savannah Tribune | on July 09, 2025 Dave Parker Dave Parker, who played major league baseball for 18 years, died on June 28, 2025 at age 74 from complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Mississippi but raised in Cincinnati, Parker played with Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, California Angels and Toronto Blue Jays. During his career as a right fielder and designated hitter, Parker was a seven time all star (1977, 79-81, 85, 86, 90), won three Gold Gloves 1977- 79), won three Silver Slugger Awards (1985, 86, 90), won two National League batting titles (1977-78) and was the National League Most Valuable Player (1978).
