The Buffalo Bills need to figure out what to do with James Cook.
The young running back dominated last season and proved that he can be a featured back, just like his older brother Dalvin.
To put it in context, we just have to take a look at the latest post by “The 33rd Team” on X.
They pointed out that Cook scored a touchdown on 7.7% of his rushing attempts last season, which was the highest rate in the league among qualifying running backs.
That was also the third-highest touchdown rate on rushes by a running back since 2020, trailing only Alvin Kamara (8.6% in 2020) and Raheem Mostert (8.6% in 2023).

Cook and the Bills have reportedly reached a stalemate.
The young running back has made it loud and clear that he doesn’t intend to suit up unless the team meets his financial demands.
Cook reportedly wants to make around $15 million per season, but the team has been hesitant to meet his asking price.
The Bills had one of the most efficient and balanced offenses in the league last season, and while plenty of that had to do with Josh Allen having an MVP season, the running game also helped.
They have one of the best quarterbacks in the game, yet Allen was at his best when the team also turned to the ground.
Cook should have several suitors if he’s made available, and he won’t be an easy player to replace, so the Bills might have no choice but to cave at some point.
