After the Yankees let Gleyber Torres go following the 2024 season, the infielder has gone on to have an All-Star season with the Detroit Tigers. On Tuesday, he was again playing under his former manager, Aaron Boone, as he represented the American League. “He’s had an outstanding year for what’s been the best record in the American League so far, the Detroit Tigers,”Boone said of Torres this week, via the New York Post.“He’s been a tone-setter for them at the top, getting on base at an amazing clip.” Torres signed a one-year, $15 million deal with the Tigers this offseason, marking the end of a seven-year stint in New York.
