Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams has announced his retirement from the NFL at age 30, just hours before the team opened training camp. Williams had signed a $6 million, one-year deal in March to return to the Chargers, but was placed on the physically unable to perform list on Monday with an undisclosed injury. Williams played eight NFL seasons, primarily with the Chargers, and had brief stints with the Jets and Steelers in 2024.
