As a seventh-round pick in the draft, Lovett could hold some resentment over being the 244th name off the board and the 30th receiver. The draft is already in the past for the former Georgia receiver and he’s looking to earn his spot on the Lions’ roster by flashing his skill both catching the ball and contributing on special teams. “I had a chip about earning a spot, but that is not what I focus on,” Lovett told reports on Saturday. Lovett’s being asked to do a bit of everything, both serving as a receiver for second and third team reps and lots of looks on special teams.
