Landing Jent would represent a major win for New York after a challenging search process.

The offensive coordinator carries particular importance given the talent the Knicks have.

They have assembled a roster loaded with scoring options that needs the right system to maximize its potential.

Jent brings extensive experience to the position. The former Knicks forward has worked as an assistant coach for 18 seasons with seven franchises.

His resume includes a brief stint as head coach of the Orlando Magic during the 2004-05 season.

For Brown, adding Jent would provide a trusted lieutenant to oversee the offensive game plan.

The addition would be another notable hire since Brown took over as head coach, giving the Knicks momentum as they continue building their staff.
