Cleveland Browns Release Tyler Huntley In Surprising Roster Move

Cleveland Browns

Tyler Huntley’s release was announced by the Cleveland Browns, and it was first reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The timing seemed peculiar to many, but having come right after Huntley’s preseason showing, which notably saw him lead a game-winning drive, the release makes some degree of sense. Huntley was signed by the Browns in the offseason and was competing for the backup role behind Deshaun Watson. With his release, the Browns’ quarterback room now comprises Watson, rookie Shedeur Sanders, and veteran Dillon Gabriel.
