Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wears his SHAI: 001 "Butter" colorway shoe.

After high demands saw the pair sold out within minutes, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will bring his signature SHAI 001 “Butter” colorways to his fanbase in the old-fashioned way. Oklahoma City Thunder fans will get a chance to grab a pair in person.

The SHAI 001 will have an exclusive release at OKC’s Grinmore store. The shoe store will have pairs in supply on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. CT. Senior NBA reporter Daniel Bell announced the news on social media.

Bell also said the exclusive event will feature an NBA 2K26 tournament, exclusive apparel, a live DJ, food and more giveaways. Sounds like quite a fun way to spend your Saturday morning.

Expect the lines to be long, even on a College Football Saturday. Gilgeous-Alexander has seen his first signature shoe met with praise. The Butter colorways went public on Sept. 4, but were quickly sold out. While select retail stores had pairs to sell, none were in OKC. That now changes for local Thunder fans.

The SHAI 001 ‘Charm Black,’ ‘Masi Blue’ and ‘Hail Clay’ colorways will be for sale on Thursday, Oct. 2. Considering how quickly the ‘Butter’ edition sold out, expect a similar high demand for that trio of shoes.

The Summer of SGA is in its twilight stage, but his past year is for the basketball record books. Gilgeous-Alexander had one of the greatest individual seasons ever. After he won an NBA championship, his trophy case is filled to the max with his MVP, NBA Finals MVP and scoring title.

The Thunder will enter the 2025-26 regular season as the popular title favorite. They’ll run it back with mostly the same roster that had one of the greatest seasons ever. At the top is Gilgeous-Alexander, who’s viewed as one of the best players and knocking on the door at all-time status.
