While Liverpool is interested in securing a contract extension for their influential defender Ibrahima Konaté, discussions have yet to yield an agreement. As a result, the club is also evaluating potential defensive alternatives should the French international depart on a free transfer.
As reported by teamTALK, the Merseyside club has expressed interest in Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer. The 28-year-old Brazilian was anticipated to leave Juventus during the recent transfer window, though a move ultimately failed to materialize. Nevertheless, Liverpool—along with other top English clubs—continues to monitor his situation.

Although Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi is understood to be the primary defensive target for manager Arne Slot, a winter move for the Englishman appears unlikely. This has kept Bremer under serious consideration as a viable option.

Since his arrival at Juventus in 2022, Bremer has featured in 93 matches, during which the team recorded clean sheets in 46 of those games—a rate of nearly 50%. His presence has proven crucial: in the 63 matches played without him, Juventus managed only 21 clean sheets, reflecting a noticeably lower defensive solidity of just 33%.
