The New York Knicks made a massive move last summer, and it’s paid off so far.

Some people weren’t sold on Karl-Anthony Towns when he came to New York, but his first season with the team was an eventful and mostly successful one.

Plus, his teammates are huge fans of him and all he has brought to the team.

Speaking with Games Hub, Jalen Brunson talked about Towns and praised his work both on and off the court.

He called him “phenomenal” and said he really doesn’t get enough credit.

“He’s been phenomenal for us, in the locker room has been great,” Brunson said. “On the court, he’s been great. The things that he’s been able to do in a short period of time being a Knick has been amazing. Having him as a teammate has been really fun. I think that gets overlooked how good of a teammate he is. Obviously, he’s a great player and what he does on the court. But the teammate he is and what he brings to the locker room for us is special. So I’m really happy to have him.”

Bringing chemistry to a locker room is a vital component of being a good player, and it’s one of the reasons why the Knicks have quickly taken so kindly to Towns.

During his first year in New York, Towns posted 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game, strong numbers that prove he came to do work.

His stats are impressive, but Brunson says that Towns’ worth is about so much more than simply that.

The Knicks are filled with players who enjoy one another and have built a powerful brotherhood, and Towns is now part of that.

His offensive skills helped them go far in the playoffs last season, but the camaraderie he has established with his fellow players is another reason why the Knicks have fallen in love with him.
