There aren’t many NFL head coaches you could look at and say: he could still play. Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn is one of those few.
In the first half of Washington’s Week 3 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Quinn gave us an image we won’t soon forget.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota carried the ball to the sideline, attempting to get out of bounds so the Commanders could kick a last-second field goal before halftime. In doing so, Mariota couldn’t slow his momentum and ran into Quinn, which resulted in the coach going to the ground.
Quinn suffered a bloody nose. Check it out:

Quinn later spoke to FOX sideline reporter Jen Hale, laughing it off and saying he was fine. That’s probably because Mariota’s scramble led the Commanders to a field goal and a 20-10 halftime lead.
The legend of Dan Quinn continues to grow among Washington fans.
