The Eastern Conference feels wide open for the 2025-26 NBA season, and the Atlanta Hawks want to capitalize on that.

According to Jeff Teague, they have a very good chance of storming past the competition and having their greatest season in years.

“The Hawks are going to make the playoffs, conference finals without a doubt… Have Porzingis spread, pause. He about to be lining up half-court shooting threes. Trae Young going to have all this room to operate… Porzingis? Bro, he in contract year, you know how this go. He ‘bout to play 70 games,” Teague said.

Like many others, Teague believes the addition of Kristaps Porzingis is going to be a game-changer for the Hawks.

After several years with the Celtics, Porzingis is eager for another deep playoff run, and he thinks he can make that happen with Atlanta.

And since he’s in a contract year, he is going to be giving it his all in order to earn a hefty new deal in the summer.

But Porzingis isn’t the only new recruit coming to the Hawks.

Fans are excited to see what Luke Kennard and Nickeil Alexander-Walker can do, as well as the continued development of Zaccharie Risacher.

Plus, Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, Jalen Johnson, and others are ready to fight harder than ever.

For some people, it’s all or nothing for the Hawks this season.

If they aren’t able to go far in the postseason, some fans will feel it’s time for major changes.

In fact, there are those who believe it should be Young’s last year in Atlanta if they don’t find great playoff success.
