Orioles update start time for game vs. Rays after weather delay

The start of the Orioles’ final home series of the 2025 season had to wait.

Baltimore announced its game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday would begin at 7:45 p.m. after beginning the contest in a weather delay. The team announced about 40 minutes before the originally scheduled 6:35 p.m. first pitch that the game wouldn’t start on time. The grounds crew removed the tarp shortly after 7 p.m.

The forecast showed scattered showers headed for the Baltimore region with rainfall expected to last until about 7:15 p.m. The Orioles (73-83) are to host the Rays for three games before heading up the East Coast for a road series against the New York Yankees to close out their season.
