The Bills and Eagles are left as the NFL’s only unbeaten teams. The Chargers, Colts, Buccaneers and 49ers fell from the undefeated ranks today.

— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) September 28, 2025
As @NickiJhabvala reported earlier: Javontae Jean-Baptiste will get an MRI Monday on his pec injury. There is fear it’s torn, per source, but more will be known Monday. Another rotation piece that will have to be replaced.

Let’s not go doing this now. Sainristil was legitimately good last year. Coleman was a decent starter last year. Both regressed this year but Newton, Sinnott, McCaffrey all just played their best 2 games and took steps forward.
Young players go through ups and downs, takes time https://t.co/6VcpsSTjnR
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 29, 2025
It could be an option, but Sainristil hasn’t been great either. He’s quietly had a really rough start to the year. Moving back outside might help but he’s also been playing outside in base defense and got beat a few times there too. https://t.co/EfKI4OcOzz
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 29, 2025
And this is why I’m not screaming “FIRE JOE WHITT” like a lot of you. Sainristil and Lattimore have really struggled this year. Hard to do much of anything vs the pass when your two starting CBs are struggling that much
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 29, 2025
When they drop Armstrong back into coverage, it’s part of their sim pressure package. Had 2 sacks and 2 pressures with it last week IIRC, been very successful for them all of 2024. Credit to Falcons for studying it well and getting it picked up a couple of times they ran it https://t.co/YPaPvj62Ki

Just finished watching back the frustrating coverage plays from the #Commanders defense. No All-22 yet, so obviously could be wrong. But here’s my initial quick notes on each one pic.twitter.com/OGU17ipCrA
— Mark Bullock (@MarkBullockNFL) September 29, 2025
My takeaways – Whitt tried a lot of things. Man, zone, match, blitz, no blitz, disguised coverages etc. Very little worked. When he played man, coverage couldn’t hold up. When he played zone, rush couldn’t get home with just 4.
