On Saturday afternoon, two of the SEC’s top teams met inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for a Top 25 showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Vanderbilt Commodores.
Ultimately, it was Alabama who left Saturday with a victory though, handing Vanderbilt their first loss of the season with a 30-14 defeat.
A big reason as to why Alabama came away victorious was the Crimson Tide’s performance during the second half, in particular defensively where they shutout Vanderbilt’s offense. In all, the Crimson Tide owned a 16-0 edge in the second half after entering halftime tied at 14-14.
Alabama also received yet another impressive performance from quarterback Ty Simpson, while running back Jam Miller also impressed by rushing for 136 yards and a touchdown on 22 attempts.
Let’s take a look at some reactions on social media Saturday night to Alabama’s impressive win over Vanderbilt.

Ty Simpson is more NFL Ready than whoever your favorite NFL Draft Guru has as QB1 in the 2026 NFL Draft.
