Marcus Freeman updates Notre Dame starting OL Billy Schrauth’s injury status after USC

It was a rough game for Notre Dame offensive lineman Billy Schrauth, as he left the game twice against USC due to injury.

The second one seemed like the more severe, and it didn’t look like it was good. Following the game, head coach Marcus Freeman was asked about his starters status, but he couldn’t really provide an update at this moment. What he did comment on was the impact that Schrauth had on the game, which was a big one.

Freeman did mention that he was leading the team following the game, so that is a positive development. You’d have to think that if the injury was serious enough that he would have already been in the locker room, that that’s encouraging.

It might be a little while until we find out what the injury diagnosis is, as the Irish won’t play next week as they’ll travel to Boston College on Nov. 1.
