The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have moved up one spot to No. 12 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after beating the USC Trojans 34-24 on Saturday night in South Bend.
USC, meanwhile, fell out of the top 25.
It was a weekend full of upsets in college football, and the poll reflects that. The biggest drop comes from LSU, which lost 10 places and slipped to No. 20 after losing to Vanderbilt. Vandy, for its part, moved up seven places to No. 10.
Miami (FL) fell seven spots to number nine after losing to Louisville, and Texas Tech fell seven places after it lost. Tennessee dropped six spots. Ole Miss fell only three after losing to Georgia.
Georgia moved up four spots, Georgia Tech moved up five, and Vanderbilt had the largest positive move, jumping up seven spots.
The top five is Ohio State (no change), Indiana (up one), Texas A&M (up one), Alabama (up two) and Georgia. The rest of the top 10 is Oregon (up two), Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Miami (FL) and Vanderbilt. BYU is up four to 11th.
