Twin Valley’s perfect season, and the ease with which the Raiders have handled most of their opponents, continued Friday night.
The third-seeded Raiders (11-0) rolled over sixth-seeded West Perry 55-15 in a District 3 Class 4A quarterfinal to advance to next Friday’s semifinal against the West York-Middletown winner.
Running back Drew Engle scored five touchdowns for the Raiders.
The Raiders have been pressed just once this season and that was in a 28-6 win over Wyomissing. Their other 10 wins were blowouts in winning the LL Section 4 title. Twin Valley is the top-ranked team in the state in Class 4A, according to Eric Epler of Pennlive.com who compiles the rankings.
The Raiders have scored 40 or more points in all their games except the 28-6 win over Wyomissing. They’ve scored 60 or more points five times.
Twin Valley has never played in a district title game. The first time the Raiders qualified for the district tournament was 2021 and they are now 4-4 all time in district playoff games.
