For the second year in a row, Exeter avenged a regular-season loss to Conestoga Valley in the District 3 Class 5A playoffs.
The seventh-seeded Eagles (10-2) defeated second-seeded Conestoga 41-34 in the quarterfinals on Friday night to advance to the semifinals to face the Bishop McDevitt-Mechanicsburg winner.
Exeter lost to Conestoga Valley 21-17 on Oct. 17 in a game that decided the Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 title.
A year ago in the district semifinals, Exeter beat Conestoga Valley 48-14 after losing to them in the regular season.
