Michigan State football has opened as a sizable underdog in their final home game of the season next week against Penn State.

The Nittany Lions are listed as a 8 1/2-point favorite over the Spartans in next week’s Big Ten matchup, according to FanDuel. The over/under for this game is set at 48 1/2 points.



Michigan State was on a bye this weekend, and will come into next week’s game against Penn State looking for their first conference win of the year. The Spartans have lost six straight games, and hold a record of 3-6 overall and 0-6 in Big Ten play.

Penn State is a mirror image of the Spartans when it comes to record. Like Michigan State, Penn State has lost six straight games, and sits at 3-6 overall and 0-6 in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions lost a heartbreaker to Indiana this past weekend.

Kickoff from Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Mich. is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. This rivalry matchup between Michigan State and Penn State will be televised on CBS.
