In Manchester, Bruno Fernandes’ successor is taking shape
Manchester United has found Bruno Fernandes’ successor
Manchester United is multiplying its options to strengthen the squad, and a new name is making waves in England. According to The Mail Sport, the Red Devils’ management is keeping a very close eye on Salvador Blopa, one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Portuguese academy.
At just 18 years old, Blopa plays for Sporting Portugal, where he operates as a right-back or right midfielder. A U19 international (8 caps, 2 goals), he will be out of contract next June—a situation that is inevitably fueling plenty of interest. Manchester United is impressed by his explosive style, versatility, and maturity in a three-center-back system, a formation he’s already mastered at Sporting.

The young Portuguese talent has had a rock-solid first half of the season with the reserves. Most notably, he made a stunning debut for the senior team: in the Allianz Cup quarter-final against FC Alverca, Blopa bagged a brace in his very first appearance. That performance didn’t go unnoticed, with Real Madrid also reportedly interested.
With his contract set to expire soon, it will be tough for Sporting to keep hold of him. The coming months promise to be decisive for a talent who could quickly become one of the hottest stories of the transfer window.
