The Buffalo Bills were in desperate need of some momentum. That’s what they got in Week 11 when Josh Allen reminded everybody why he’s the reigning NFL MVP.

Allen scored six total touchdowns to lead the Bills to a big win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, he’ll face a tougher challenge in a short week.

In Week 12, Buffalo will visit the Houston Texans on “Thursday Night Football,” and the Bills’ star could make a big jump in the MVP race.

“With another big performance, Josh Allen can be at the forefront of the MVP convo again,” Kay Adams said.

The Texans have arguably the best defense in the NFL. They’re giving up 258.1 total yards per game, which is the lowest mark in the past 15 years, even better than the Seattle Seahawks’ legendary “Legion of Boom.”

The Bills have struggled with poor wide receiver play all season, and they haven’t been efficient whenever the opposing defense has been able to shut down running back James Cook. That could spell trouble against the Texans.

That being said, Allen is arguably the best quarterback in the game. He is the type of player who can put his team on his shoulders and single-handedly make things happen, even using his legs when there’s no one to throw to.

In 10 games, Allen has completed 69.6 percent of his passes for 2,456 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also has 65 carries for 351 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
