Here’s what some fans said about the Orioles’ offseason (answers have been edited for clarity and grammar):

They won’t. They’ll sign somebody and sell the fans that he is a No. 1 but it will be more like an above-average guy. — Wayne Schwanke

Sign Alonso. Sign Framber [Valdez]. Trade Mounty and Kjerstad and Povich for [Tarik] Skubal. Maybe even [Luis] Arráez? Make moves like it’s 1966. — John Weigel

No, they will get a No. 4 starter. — TO Junior

If it’s anything like the past few years, they will sign a No. 1 starter who was a No. 1 in 1985. — Mitchell Heyman

Sounds like the O’s should have overpaid for [Dylan] Cease. — Danny Bacon

No, too cheap. — Rusty Gardner

Umm, I’ll take one Mr. Skubal, please. — greg.sprouse on Instagram

Sign Valdez, trade for a guy like [MacKenzie] Gore using [Coby] Mayo as a trade chip. — dylanhealey9 on Instagram

Elias drafts well but has never been able to put together a major league roster. After the ’23 and ’24 season the team was on the brink of being special but somehow, he managed to screw it up. — Dan
