The New York Jets announced two roster moves following rookie minicamp, adding offensive lineman Landon Young and linebacker Jaden Keller while waiving wide receiver Mac Dalena and linebacker Ochaun Mathis.
According to the team, the Jets signed OL Landon Young and waived WR Mac Dalena. Young was one of 31 tryout players at rookie minicamp. The 6-foot-7, 321-pound lineman appeared in 17 games for the New Orleans Saints in 2024, making four starts at right guard and one at left guard. A sixth-round pick out of Kentucky in 2021, Young appeared in 56 games with New Orleans from 2021 through 2024 and made 12 starts.
Dalena originally signed with the Jets on a reserve/futures contract on January 12. The Fresno State product previously spent time on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. In 2024, he was a first-team All-Mountain West selection after recording 64 receptions for 1,065 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Jets also signed LB Jaden Keller and waived LB Ochaun Mathis. Keller, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker from Virginia Tech, was also among the Jets’ 31 rookie minicamp tryout players. He played in 11 games with 6 starts last season and ranked third on the team with 50 tackles. In 52 games for the Hokies, Keller totaled 181 tackles, 78 solo tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries.
Mathis signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets in January. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and later spent time with several teams, including the Patriots, Eagles, Titans, and Browns. He joined the Jets practice squad last December.
The moves come as the Jets roster continues to be tweaked, after the rookie minicamp and ahead of the next phase of the offseason program.
