Jets wide receiver Irv Charles is heading to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a conditional 2028 seventh-round draft choice.  The team made the announcement through their social media team.

GM Darren Mougey, once again takes the opportunity to ship a bottom-of-the-roster player out of town for a few pennies in draft capital.  He did the same not long ago by dealing maligned quarterback Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Charles has been a non-factor as a pass catcher since signing with the Jets as an undrafted free agent back in 2024, but has been a standout gunner on special teams.  The emergence of receiver Arian Smith in that role last season made Charles expendable and the Jets pulled the trigger on a deal.
